The airport of Lemnos is located on the eastern side of the island, 22 km from Myrina. It receives daily flights from Athens all year round and the flight time is 1 hour. It also receives flights from Thessaloniki 4-5 times per week operated by the small air company Astra Airlines. In summer, another small air company, Sky Express, operates flights between Lemnos and Heraklion, Crete.

There are ferries to Lemnos from the port of Lavrion, a small port town on the southern side of Attica peninsula. There are ferries that run all year round, 3 times per week. The trip is long and lasts about 9 hours. There are also ferries to Lemnos from Piraeus port but the trip is much longer (about 24 hours). In summer, there are also ferries to Lemnos from the port of Kavala, on the northern side of Greece.
