Lemnos has a sufficiently good road network with small asphalt trails. The island provides various modes of transport, like buses, cars, and motorbikes. In summer, buses run daily from Myrina, the capital of the island, to Moudros, Platy, Thanos and other places.
The routes are not so frequent so it is advisable to have your own vehicle in order to enjoy the natural scenery of Lemnos at your own pace. There are few car rentals and motorbike rentals along the port of Myrina, in Platy and other tourist places.
Taxis are also an alternative to get around the island. In summer, there is a small local ferry three times a week from Myrina to the neighboring island of Agios Efstratios.
