There is a daily ferry to Chios from Piraeus port, the main port of Athens. This ferry to Chios takes about 7 hours and usually continues to Lesvos. In summer, there is also a ferry to Chios from Kavala.
Note that Chios has 2 ports: Chios town and Mesta. The small port of Mesta in Chios has ferry connection with Lavrio port in Athens and Psara island.

Note that these ferry connections can be available only during some summer months and can vary from year to year.
