Water Taxis in Karpathos

Water taxis are one of the fastest and most enjoyable ways of moving from one location to another, offering a unique experience of the Aegean Sea.

In Karpathos, water taxis operate between Karpathos Port and the neighboring islet of Kasos between early March and late October, when the weather conditions are more favorable, while during the rest of the year, their operation discontinues. During the summer season, routes are more frequent, with high-speed boats departing from/to Karpathos 5 days a week. The crossing takes just 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Water taxis also leave from Pigadia for the popular Apella Beach, as well as for the secluded Agios Minas Cove on the island’s northeastern coast.

Lastly, you will probably find some local boats taking you to Saria and Sokastro, two islets situated close to Karpathos.
