On your way to Oia’s castle, you will certainly notice the small church of Agios Nikolaos, as it boasts a blue dome and a stone-built facade that make it stand out.

Overlooking the sea, the church offers excellent views of the Aegean along with castle ruins. The church showcases the typical style of Cycladic architecture. You can only approach it on foot, and it comprises one of the best places in Oia to gaze at the infamous sunset of Santorini!
