The airport of Paros is located on the southern side of the island, at the region of Alyki, 8 km from the capital town of Parikia. This airport is busy in summer, receiving domestic flights from Athens and Thessaloniki as well as international flights from abroad. The flight time from Athens to Paros is 30 min.
There are daily ferries to Paros from Piraeus, the main port of Athens. In tourist season, there are also daily ferries to Paros from the port of Rafina, close to Athens airport. The trip lasts from 4-6 hours depending on the vessel and the route. These ferries also connect Paros to many other islands of Cyclades, including Santorini, Mykonos, Naxos and Syros. In high season, there is a week ferry from the port of Herakion in Crete. From the port of Pounda in western Paros, there are daily local ferries (every 30 min) to the neighboring island of Antiparos.
