Donoussa is a Cycladic gem in the heart of the Aegean! It belongs to the Small Cyclades island group alongside Koufonisia, Irakia, and Schinoussa. It may be one of the tiniest Greek islands, but it boasts a magnificent natural landscape!

Still untouched by mass tourism, Donoussa Greece has managed to stay off the radar. In Donoussa you won’t find organized and crowded beaches, but unspoiled paradise beaches with crystal clear water, where you’ll enjoy swimming all day long! Donoussa's ideal location between Naxos and Amorgos makes it a wonderful base for island hopping between the Cyclades islands. Therefore, it’s an ideal destination both for day trips from the nearby islands and for long holidays.

Whatever you choose, one thing is for sure: Donoussa will seduce you! Find out how to get there and some amazing photos!!

Sitting in the western Aegean sea, between Naxos and Amorgos, Donoussa Greece has arguably a distinctive beauty. Given that it belongs to the heavenly Small Cyclades group of islands, together with Schinoussa, Irakleia and Koufonisia, Donoussa couldn’t be anything less than a piece of heaven on earth!

The center of activity in Donoussa is Chora (or Stavros), the main village and port of the island. Stavros has a lively, yet relaxing atmosphere and it is where you’ll find most of the island’s taverns, bars, restaurants, shops, and amenities, as well as Donoussa rooms and Donoussa hotels for your stay. Moving away from Chora, you’ll discover tiny traditional villages and wild natural landscapes worth exploring!

The standouts of Donoussa are, hands down, its beaches! Donoussa beaches have nothing to do with their crowded Cycladic counterparts. They are mostly unorganized, secluded and remote. One of the best secluded Donoussa beaches is Kedros beach, which is also a popular free camping spot. Donoussa beaches are easily accessible, as almost all can be reached on foot.

The relaxing atmosphere of Donoussa will seduce you!
