Where is Lassithi? Lassithi is the easternmost region of Crete. Its capital, Agios Nikolaos, lies 250 nautical miles from Athens. The closest island is Kasos (49 nautical miles from Sitia). They are the easternmost municipality of Crete and border Heraklion to the west.
Lassithi has two ports and an international airport. One port is the port of Agios Nikolaos and is connected only to Santorini and the other port is Sitia, which is connected to Athens (Piraeus), Santorini, Karpathos, Kasos, Rhodes, Chalki, Anafi, and Heraklion.
