Lassithi Ammos Beach

General information

Located a mere 500 meters from the city center, Ammos is one of the most centrally-located beaches of Agios Nikolaos. It stretches between the picturesque marina and the city stadium, offering great views of the port and the Sitia mountains.

Ammos is a lovely sandy beach (its very name means “sand”), with shallow azure waters that are nearly always calm, making it a great destination for families with children. Bulrushes and reeds have grown on the sand, adding a unique touch to the landscape. Surrounded by numerous restaurants and other tourist facilities, it is well-organized with umbrellas, sunbeds, showers, and water sports facilities.
