Lassithi Maridatis beach

General information

Maridatis is a small secluded beach located 90 km east of Agios Nikolaos, between the famous Vai Beach, with its impressive palm forest, and the windsurfing center of Kouremenos Beach.

Maridatis is totally untouched by tourism; it is not organized and access is possible through a track road. However, the pristine waters, the white pebbles and the wild landscape create a nice environment in which to enjoy nature in complete solitude. Close to the beach, it is also possible to find a small wetland with brackish waters and water-loving plants.

Within a short distance, there is a tavern, as well as some rental rooms. More accommodation options can be found nearby, as well as in Sitia, which is the closest town.
