Athens Megalo Sesi beach

General information

Along with its smaller counterpart, Mikro Sesi, Megalo Sesi is a pebbly seashore with bright blue waters! Megalo Sesi is known for its peaceful atmosphere and tamarisk trees, which cover a large part of the beach and provide enough shade for many bathers!

The beach of Megalo Sesi is semi-organized since it has an array of municipality-owned sun umbrellas and a couple of taverns at a short distance, ideal for a fulfilling meal! This shore does not have any other tourist amenities, instead hosting the beautiful Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior!

Bonus info: The beach hosts a rocky seabed and we recommend being alert for sea urchins.
