The sandy beach of Varkiza is located around 25 kilometers away from Athens city center.
One part of this big beach is fully organized but you need to pay a ticket to access it. It offers all kinds of facilities, including sunbeds to rent, snacks bars, restaurants, a car parking area, a playground for children and a football court.
The other part is not organized but there is a nice tavern there.
The beach can easily be reached by public bus, starting at the city center, or by car.
