Pelion Airport

There is no airport in Pelion. The closest airport to Pelion is the airport of Volos- Nea Achialos. This airport is small and operates only in summer. Located about 30 km from Volos, this airport receives few charter flights. Every time a flight arrives, there is a bus that transfers passengers to the town of Volos. From Volos, tourists can take a bus or taxi to a particular village of Pelion.

Located in the center of Greece, Pelion can also be accessed from the airports of Athens and Thessaloniki, both of which receive flights from all over the world. From Athens and Thessaloniki, there is a regular bus to Volos every day. The bus trip from Thessaloniki to Volos is 3 hours and from Athens to Volos for 5 hours.
