Meteora Airport

There is no airport in Meteora. The closest airport is in Thessaloniki that both receive flights from all over the world.

To go to Meteora (Kalambaka) from Thessaloniki, visitors have to take the bus (transfer via Trikala). The bus trip from Thessaloniki to Trikala is 3 hours, while from Athens to Trikala is 5 hours.

Close to Meteora, there is also the small airport of Volos-Nea Achialos. This airport works only in summer and receives few charter flights. The distance from Nea Achialos to Meteora is about 2 hours drive.
