How to get to Sterea?

Buses

There are frequent bus connections between Athens and towns of Sterea in Greece. Buses for eastern Sterea and Evia island depart from Liossion KTEL Station in Athens, while buses for western Sterea depart from Kifissos KTEL Station in Athens.

Ferries

The busiest port of Sterea is Agios Constantinos that serves ferries to Skiathos, Skopelos, and Alonissos. From the small port town of Astakos, in western Sterea, there are ferries to Kefalonia and Ithaca in summer. Also from the port of Kymi in Evia island, there are ferries to Skyros and ferries to Skopelos and Alonissos in summer.

Car

Driving in Sterea gives the chance to visit many interesting archaeological sites, towns and places of natural beauty. The road from Athens to Lamia is a highway, but all other roads are rural. This means that they have only one line per direction.
