Skyros is the largest of the Sporades islands, deeply rooted in the history and cultural traditions. The pine-forested hills, rocky scenery, isolated coves, and endless sandy beaches complete the idyllic landscape of Skyros. Equally important is the characteristic architecture which is apparent in all the settlements accompanied by the excellent folklore artworks which adorn every house.
The diverse scenery of Skyros is a pole of attraction for the visitors as well as its historical castles, Byzantine churches, tranquil monasteries and coastal settlements embraced by the small coves. The most important sightseeing of Skyros is found around the capital where most of the activities are concentrated and in Molos, another popular resort.
This section proposes a map of Skyros with all the major locations of the island.
