Located at an altitude of 300 meters with breathtaking views of St. George's Bay, Dionysos Restaurant offers one of the finest dining experiences in Corfu.
The restaurant, which opened its doors for the first time in 1994, is located in the village of Afionas perched on a peninsula in northwest Corfu. A great meal and the best sunset view in Corfu are not the only things that Dionysos has to offer. Guests can take a walk along the ancient path from Dionysos to Porto and the twin beaches of St. George.
The restaurant is owned by Spiros and his family. Spiros is the bar keeper, while his son Tassos manages the restaurant. The kitchen is managed by his sisters, Dina and Katerina. Dina, the main chef, cooks following her grandmother’s Greek recipes and uses locally produced ingredients, while Katerina dishes out a fine selection of starters. The bottom line is a great meal in a great atmosphere. The Mediterranean cuisine on offer at Dionysos includes a wide choice of mezedes prepared from fresh ingredients and fresh seafood. Most of the ingredients used are grown in farms and the garden of the owners.
The house wine is perfect. Some of their specialty dishes, including kleftiko, moussaka, stifado and chicken a la creme, are simply outstanding. For desserts, there are traditional sweets and delicious ice creams. The restaurant caters to groups and private events, including wedding receptions and baptisms, and can accommodate up to 250 guests. Other facilities include a lovely playground for children and ample parking space.
