General information

Keros beach Lemnos: Keros is an endless beach with soft white sand, distinguished for its natural beauty. It is located 32 km east of Myrina, the capital of Lemnos and a couple of km from Kalliopi village.

Keros is a turquoise slice of paradise and an ideal place for various water sports, like windsurfing and kite surfing. It is without a doubt the home of the windsurfers on Lemnos since the beach is affected by the strong winds offering the best conditions for sports lovers.

The wind starts early at noon and calms late in the afternoon. Due to the wind and the long distance from the capital town, Keros doesn't get much frequented. There are only a few accommodation options due to the protected ecosystem of the area and some beachfront taverns. Another popular windsurfing spot in Lemnos is the beach of Zematas.

Try windsurfing

Keros is an enjoyable beach to spend a few hours in the sun. Nice, fine sand and crystal water, which gave me the chance to practise snorkeling, which I love. Moreover, I tried windsurfing for the first time with a sports club that has its base on this beach. The trainer was very friendly, although I found it hard to balance on the board at first. But Stavros was a very patient teacher and really helped me. Thanks, Stavros!! Next time I come, I will try kiteboarding!
