Rhodes Kritinia

General information

Kritinia in Rhodes, Dodecanese: Kritinia is one of the most beautiful villages in Rhodes. It is located 55km from the town and it is built in barrow with a great panoramic view to the sea. It has a population of 500 people.

Over the years the village has become a place of tourist interest due to the Venetian castle and the church of Agios Ioannis with the magnificent wall paintings that date back to 16th century.

At the centre of the village are many traditional cafes (kafenia) and taverns which offer the best view to the visitors. Skala Kamirou is located in a short distance from here where it offers interesting sights to see.
