Rhodes Makris Tichos beach

General information

Makris Tichos is a small beach near the tourist resort of Lardos, 50 km south of Rhodes Town, between Lindos and Prasonisi. It is blessed with golden sand and crystal-clear waters that are ideal for a refreshing swim. The beach is well-organized with plenty of umbrellas and sunbeds available. There is also a beach bar that serves cold beverages.

The surrounding region is tourist-developed and has many hotels, restaurants and some watersports centers. Behind them runs the main road connecting the area around Lindos to the north of Rhodes. The beach itself, however, remains relatively quiet and sees few crowds even during peak summer months. It is a good spot if you are looking for a relaxed time and an escape from the busier beaches of the island.
