• How can I get to my hotel from the port?

If you have arranged to stay in Chora, then your accommodation lies just a few minutes from the port. By contrast, if you need to reach one of the island’s inland or seaside settlements, the most budget-friendly option is to take the bus. Alternatively, you can also get a taxi or rent a car. It is also good to bear in mind that high-end accommodations may offer shuttle service to/from the port at an additional cost.

• How can I get to Tinos Town?

The port is an integral part of Tinos Town (Chora) and lies within walking distance of the town center.

• How can I get to some of the finest beaches?

Buses starting from Tinos Town also stop at some of the island’s finest beaches, such as Agios Ioannis Porto, Agios Sostis and Stafida. However, renting a car will allow you to explore the Tinian coastline with much greater freedom, giving you the chance to access even the most secluded swimming spots.

• Can I rely on public means of transport?

During the high season, bus itineraries are more frequent, which makes public transport a reliable and affordable option for getting to some of the most significant places of interest. However, it is important to remember that the frequency depends on the destination and the season, while secluded spots are not served by public transport at all.

• Are the distances between Tinos Town and the touristy spots long?

Though distances between Tinos Town and destinations in the southern part of Tinos tend to be relatively short, many of the island’s beaches and traditional settlements, especially those in the northwestern part, are more remote.
