Naxos has always been a place distinguished for its rich cultural life and events. Petalouda Art Gallery opened its doors in 1998 in the town by two French people, Guy Pouzol and Lisa Bernert, who took the initiation to create a special place hosting exquisite works of art.

This gallery has now been established as one of the most interesting spots for the art lovers. A true reflection of the rich artistic approach and heritage of Naxos, Petalouda specializes mostly in modern and contemporary art hosting numerous works of European artists, including paintings, sculptures, and art ceramics.

Throughout the year, Petalouda organizes various exhibitions hosting the best collections of acrylic paintings, sculptures in bronze, copper and marble, metal and Plexiglas sculptures, as well as cement and clay sculptures. The art gallery also hosts a series of art fairs since 2002 as well as personals and group exhibitions.
