Kimolos is a typically Cycladic island, small with barren landscape and not fully developed allowing visitors to get around on foot. The distances between the villages of Kimolos are not long and therefore there is limited transportation. There is only a public bus that links Chorio with the port, Klima and Kalamitsi.
If you are not interested in walking, the best way is to use your own vehicle to see as much as you can. The distance between Chora and the port can be covered on foot (2 km) and it only takes 15 minutes.
There is only one taxi, usually outside the port to assist the few visitors and no car rentals, except from one in Pollonia, Milos. Alternatively, in Kimolos you will also find taxi boats that take you a short trip to the isolated beaches around the island.
