The small island of Despotiko, west of Antiparos in the Cyclades and rich in archaeological findings, will soon become an open museum.

Stuck for centuries at the doorstep of the temple of Apollo at the location Mandra of Despotiko, a small island opposite Antiparos, the other half of a Parian Kouros, was finally found underground and came to light after 26 centuries.

Three new archaic sanctuaries were discovered during excavations in the region of Mandra Despotikou on Antiparos, where an archaic sanctuary of Apollo had also been found.

The permanent residents of Antiparos are protesting against the transfer of the only nurse in their Health Centre to the Health Centre of Paros, which already has 6 nurses.
