General information

In close distance to Paleochora, Gialiskari is a complex of three secluded beaches at the exit of the small but impressive Anydri Gorge. Surrounded by a rocky landscape and low vegetation, Gialiskari is ideal for profound relaxation to the sound of the cicadas.

Two of the beaches lie to the west of a small piece of land jutting out into the sea and are covered with fine pebbles. They have amazing deep-blue waters and there are some umbrellas. These beaches are sheltered from the wind even on windy days. The third one, which lies a little to the east, is sandy and is called Ammoudia; this is not organized and is popular with nudists. The closest facilities and accommodation can be found in Paleochora.

Gialiskari is easily accessible by car via a dust road, but trekking enthusiasts can also get there through Anydri Gorge. Alternatively, it can be reached by boat from Paleochora.
