Chania Kalamaki beach

General information

Kalamaki is a charming resort located in Galatas Village, 7 km west of Chania Town. It’s surrounded by lots of greenery, as well as citrus and olive groves. The shore is the westernmost part of a long coast starting at Agioi Apostoloi.

Kalamaki Beach is covered in fine, golden sand and boasts crystal-clear, shallow waters, suitable for children. The beach provides equipment such as umbrellas, sunbeds, and showers.
Around the shore, you can find some traditional taverns, restaurants, and beach bars. There is also a watersports center, where you can rent equipment for surfing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, and canoeing.

On the western side of the shore, you will see a small cove, divided from the main part of the beach by a narrow strip of sand.
