Chania Kalyves beach

General information

Kalyves Beach is a charming, sandy shore located 19 km east of Chania Town, on the south coast of Souda Bay. The area is rich in greenery and rivers and is well protected from the winds.

The coast is somewhat organized, with a few sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, and toilets. The waters are crystal clear and shallow, making them suitable and safe for children. However, they are rather cold because of the springs inside the sea and the rivers flowing in the region. You will find lifeguards supervising the area, as well as plenty of cafes and taverns where you can get something to eat or drink.
There is also a parking space available nearby.
