On the ground floor of the classical building is the children's library as well as the much-needed playground. The life-size set of the Athens metro lets the children experience the future of transit, while they wear yellow helmets and explore the under construction area. But the Grandparents room on the top floor will take them to the past with sets of an old living room with radio, furniture, and utensils. Children can wear old costumes in this room. They hold seminars on Education in museums and also good parenting.
The children's museum was founded in 1987 by a few child experts with Sophia Roque's guidance. The museum sits in a very amiable location in the heart of Athens. This major street is one that you will certainly not miss if you are in Plaka as in the same block there is the Byzantine and Christian Museum and the archaeological Lyceum of Aristotle. To reach V.Georgiou, just reach Evaggelismos metro station and go to Vasileos Konstandinou avenue the museum is at the right.
