Memories Steeped in Dream

An exciting exhibition revolving around world-class famous painters and an array of their multiple-themed artworks will be housed in the notorious Goulandris Foundation, starting from the 5th of August and ending on the 3rd of December 2023!

The exhibition, titled Memories Steeped in Dream, will be showcasing the art of the multiple - drawings, sculptures, and art projects produced in large quantities! It will feature a grand total of 90 engravings, ceramic paintings, and lithographs from eight of the most revered artists of the 20th century, namely Henri Matisse, Fernand Léger, Balthus, Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Aristide Maillol and Joan Miró!

Visitors will have a chance to collectively analyze the importance of said artworks, as well as explore the advantages that art multiples provide to the artists, including using non-traditional methods to approach their artwork, promoting their illustrations at a faster pace, and introducing them to the world of cooperative work! On top of that, the exhibition will be accompanied by a flyer-like catalog in both English and Greek with the resumes of all the collaborators, a glossary, and some personal notes written by its curator!
