Athens Science Festival 2024

The Athens Science Festival 2024 in Technopolis - The biggest commemoration of science in Greece, taking place on April 16-21! This festival, taking place every year since 2014, is dedicated to showcasing the wonders of Science. Children, students and people of all ages are invited to take part in this interactive journey through science and technology, hosted by the SciCo organization, the British Council, and the Technopolis City of Athens.

With contributions from a number of scientists, volunteers, and science enthusiasts, the Athens Science Festival has been established as the ultimate opportunity to learn from Greece’s most distinguished scientists. No matter the level of understanding of science, each visitor learns about science in an entertaining way, helping them involve science in their everyday lives.

In 2023, the festival focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) occupations with the motto “Shape your future”. Through a variety of interacting activities and speeches, visitors were able to learn about AI, augmented reality, and robotics with the help of esteemed scientists and professionals.

The motto of 2024’s festival is “Tales of Change”, inviting those with an interest in science to discover something new and enter a different era in science. Due to its growing popularity, the festival has expanded beyond Athens’ limits and has taken place in big Greek cities, such as Thessaloniki, Larissa, and Patra.
