Athens City Festival 2023

The lively city of Athens is ready to host over two hundred events in order to celebrate the multifaceted art and nightlife of Greece’s capital! Starting from the 1st of May and concluding on the 31st, an abundance of activities will take place, including upbeat parties, open-air picnics, and fun exhibitions that fit all ages!

A plethora of Athenian museums opts to participate in this festival by having extended visiting hours for all their showcases and hosting brand-new events, whereas some also offer free admission for selected dates. Immerse yourself in the countless sights while you enjoy a taste of traditional cuisine that the museum hosts will have prepared, pairing it with selected wines from local producers.

Aiming to highlight small-scale producers and artists, Athens City Festival provides a wide array of concerts and theatrical plays, like the 22nd presentation of the fantastic 7-day Athens Jazz Festival, taking place in Technopolis! Furthermore, fans of outdoor activities that prefer a less crowded environment can choose to hop on various bicycle tours or have this chance and relax at the park with the help of yoga and fitness professionals.

This month-long festival will also host renowned events of Athens, such as the Athens Street Food Festival, parties at the Central Municipal Market of Athens, and visits to the First Cemetery of Athens! Other happenings worth noting are a pop-up ice cream market, an urban picnic at Tositsa Street, a live show by avant-garde jazz masters Mammal Hands, and the 1st Accessible-to-all Hip Hop Festival (organized by the social group Cool Crips)!
