Located in the park of the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus, Gajah can be described as a secret island hidden in the busy city. Its name means elephant in the Malay language, which is also represented by the life-sized elephant statue standing in its garden. It was inspired by tiki culture, creating an exotic atmosphere full of palm trees and running water. It is decorated with giant totems and statues, and the wooden decks and furniture in earthy colors are reminiscent of some far-away island and not the hectic landscape of Athens. Furthermore, Gajah offers customers a great view of the sea!
The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious dishes inspired by Polynesian and Asian cuisines, further adding to the aesthetic of the establishment. Guests will find both meat and seafood dishes, as well as unique flavor combinations created by the chefs. The desserts are equally creative, and every dish is presented beautifully. In addition, a wide variety of refreshing cocktails, the signature of Gajah, is available, among other drinks and beverages.
The bar-restaurant operates during the summer and when the weather allows sitting outside. Events with live music or DJ sets are also organized.
