The itineraries of the cog railway between Diakofto- Kalavryta starts again from today. The cog train was not working for some months, due to works on the conservation and the modernization of the rail network. As OSE (the Train Organization of Greece) announced, for the time being only one itinerary per day will be held, while there will be four itineraries on weekends and official public holidays. This route, which is considered among the 6 more beautiful routes of the world, lasts for about an hour. It starts from Diakofto, close to Corinth, passes through the Gorge of Vouraikos, at an altitude of about 720m, and ends in the train station of Kalavryta. The train is traditional and the width of the rail trail is only 75cm. For more information on the itineraries, you can call the Phone Center of OSE at 1110.
