Peratata Kefalonia: Peratata is a small village located 8km southeast of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. It is built on the slopes of a hillside of Mountain Ainos and it is surrounded by a verdant landscape. The Castle of Saint George stands on top of the hill dominating the village.
The population of the village is about 500 inhabitants. Peratata is a quiet area offering relaxing vacation. Besides the traditional life of settlement, there are few taverns offering delicious dishes. The houses are made of stone and there are picturesque narrow streets that lead to various monuments spread in the region depicting the historic course of this mountainous village. |
