Lemnos: Katalako Lemnos

Katalako village Lemnos: Surrounded by hills, the picturesque Katalako village in Lemnos Island agrees with its name, which in Greek means “in a pit”. Belonging to the Atsiki municipality, the village has only a few shops which offer local products. Commercial tourism has not touched it by now and it has retained its original charm and the features of a typical Greek village. Its inhabitants are few, only 100 permanent residents in the winter and some holiday makers in summer.
