internationally famous windsurfing spot and has a good windsurfing club, called Club Mistral, renting high quality material.

The southern beach (on the other part of the hill) is an endless sandy beach called Sahara with amazing waters; because it is protected from the meltemi winds, it has become a calm family beach where a tavern propose excellent food of high quality.

Several nice hotels and restaurants can be found in the area surrounding Mikri Vigla.

Our Impressions:

This is another in the long string of beaches on the West coast. This is not that hard to find because it is just south of the Cape. This beach is very windy and that’s why it’s very popular with wind surfers but also kite surfers. Off to the right is an islet with the improbable positioning of a small whitewashed church on top of it.
This is not a beach for sunbathing. The action here is all about windsurfing and sitting on the beach itself is not very pleasant because of the wind. But the beach is incredible when there is no wind.

- Where to eat/drink:There is quite a large beach bar on the beach part of the Hotel Mikri Vigla.
