Folegandros Katergos beach

General information

The most famous beach of Folegandros and one of the most beautiful beaches in the Aegean sea. It is located at the south-east part of the island. It is long with small pebbles and sand whereas its waters are clear blue and warm. There are a few rocky islets in the sea and near the shore which you can approach by swimming. The beach is surrounded by high steep cliffs and is very remote, which is one of the reasons that makes it so special. You can only reach it by a boat tour. Alternatively, if you feel adventurous, you can park your car in Livadi village and hike for 30' following the trekking route.

The beach is not organized and there are no facilities or shops so it is absolutely necessary to bring bottles of water and a snack with you.
