Ftelia is a little touristy resort located in a few kilometres from the capital of the island, Skiathos Town, in the bay of the same name. The bay of Ftelia has an historic past for its is where, on the 9th of October 1823, a local called Old Man Karatassos and his men killed 400 Turks to avenge the chieftains of Olympus attacked by the admiral Pasha Topal. Close to the Ftelia is the popular and touristy beach of Megali Ammos which is fully organised.
