Alonissos Running Challenge 2014

This year, the Alonissos Running Challenge will take place on June 8th, 2014. Organized by the Organization of Culture, Sports and Social Activities of Alonissos, the aim of this running event is to attract athletes from all over Greece and abroad, who will come and experience the unique natural beauty of Alonissos. In fact, the race is characterized as multi-terrain as it offers continuous alternations of landscapes through the hiking paths of this beautiful Greek island.

There will be three races in total: a 30 km race, 10 km, 2 km (for children) and 10 km for walkers. The starting and fishing point is Patitiri, the main port of Alonissos. Runners must be over 18 years old to take part in the races and participation fee is 5 euros. As for the children race, only primary and high school students can take part and the participation is free.
