General information

The beach of Plakes in central Hydra is a pebbly seashore with sandy spots along its coast! It faces mainland Greece and is found a few meters southwest of Vlichos Village, neighboring the homonym Vlichos Beach. Also, Plakes has gorgeous, mesmerizing crystal-clear waters boasting light blue colors and a stony seabed, while it also offers a gentle entrance slope, making it easier to access!

Plakes Beach has both a large, well-organized part and some non-organized spots, hosting arrays of straw-made sun umbrellas and sunbed pairs, as well as some untouched space. The beachside restaurant is ideal for a quick snack, a refreshment, or a cocktail facing the waters. It also has a couple of WC booths!

Plakes is approachable by water taxi or on foot from Hydra Town since it is no more than a 45-minute walk.
