4th Half-Marathon of Costakos Foundation

The George Best Costakos Foundation is organizing the 4th Half-Marathon of 21 km and a 12.5 km Run & Walk on the island of Aegina on Sunday, September 23rd, 2012. These routes take place for the memory of George Costakos, a Broadway actor originating from Aegina, who lost the battle with cancer at the age of 43 in November 2008.

Route Half-Marathon Route: 21 km from runners and 12.5 km for runners and walkers Departure: Agia Marina Square, Aegina island Departure time for Half-Marathon: 11:00 am Departure time for Walkers: 10:30 am Terminal: Old marina in Aegina Town Both routes will pass through traditional villages in the inland of Aegina and by the cemetery of Mesagros, the resting place of George Costakos.

Participation The participation fee is 10 euros and it will contribute to the most important plan of the Foundation: the construction of hostels for children suffering from brain cancer. Participation deadline is on September 15th, 2012.
