New hospital ready by summer 2009

As announced by the local authorities, the new hospital of Zakynthos is expected to be ready by summer 2009. The constuction of the new hospital began in 2006 and so far it is progressing in good steps. Presently, internal works are done, while the the equipment is also ordered. Part of the work was financed by the European Union. This new hospital is a vital work for the island, which needs to help many its residents and summer visitors in a way that was not sufficient with the old hospital.
