Kefalonia Platis Gialos beach

General information

Kefalonia's Platis Gialos Beach is located right next to Makris Gialos and is quite known for its unspoiled beauty. It consists of white sand and crystalline water. It is one of the most famous beaches of Kefalonia, at a close distance to Argostoli. The beach attracts both locals and tourists.

The beach owes its name to the large width of its shore as Platis Gialos translates into "wide seacoast".  The seabed is sandy and the waters are shallow, making the beach an ideal destination for families with children. The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag for its cleanness and fine organization.
The area is surrounded by a beautiful environment full of green hills and lush vegetation.

At Platis Gialos, you will find sun loungers and a snack bar. Showers and changing rooms are available at the beach, too. Lastly, guests can use the volleyball field to practice or simply have a fun time.
