General information

Kalamia Beach in Kefalonia is a pebble and sand-filled shore surrounded by impressively large limestone formations. It boasts stunning waters with unprecedented bright turquoise colorings, hosting a shallow seabed, plus some harmless fish! This beach is approachable through a rough, steep pathway, so it is advised that you do not use flip-flops upon entering or leaving the shore.

The beach of Kalamia is semi-organized, offering sun umbrellas and sunbed pairs to rent while hosting a cozy beach bar with a plethora of drink and snack options, playing relaxing tunes throughout the day! Kalamia is far from a cosmopolitan destination (especially during the afternoon hours), so you can enjoy your swim and sunbathe away from prying eyes!

There are plenty of watersport facilities available during the high season, including paddle-boarding sessions, though you could always grab a snorkeling mask and explore the nearby sea caves or the beautifully-colored ocean depths!
