Ferries to Thassos

Thassos is connected by ferry only with Kavala and Keramoti. Routes are carried out on a daily basis, almost every hour. Ferries from Kavala reach the port of Limenas, while ferries from Keramoti stop on the port of Skala Prinou. In each case, tickets cannot be booked online. You have to buy your ticket on the spot, before boarding on the ship.

Flights near Thassos

There is no airport in Thassos. The closest one is located in Kavala. Kavala Airport "Alexander the Great" receives regular flights from Athens all year round and the flight time is about 1 hour. During summer, the airport receives flights from many European countries, too. Upon your arrival, you have to reach the port of Kavala and then travel to Thassos by ferry. Since the airport is located in the region of Chrissoupolis, which means about 30 km away from Kavala, you have to take a taxi for your transfer to the port of Kavala. You can also take a KTEL bus, since there is a bus connection from the airport to the city center of Kavala.
