How to get to Ikaria?

You can reach Ikaria by ferry from Athens, as ferries depart from Piraeus port about 3 times per week. However, the trip lasts about 11 hours.
There is a ferry connection between Ikaria and some nearby islands, too, including Samos, Syros, Mykonos and Chios. During summer, Ikaria is also connected by ferry with Kavala, which is located on the northern part of the Greek mainland.

Ikaria Island National Airport receives domestic flights from Athens, Lemnos and Thessaloniki. The flight time from Athens or Thessaloniki is about 1 hour.
