Rhodes Faliraki Beach

General information

Faliraki beach Rhodes: Faliraki is one of the most cosmopolitan resorts on Rhodes. It is found 16 km south of the Rhodes Town and 10 km away from the airport. Faliraki is a well-organized beach with dozens of colourful sun loungers and umbrellas covering its sandy coast. Close to this beach plenty of taverns, restaurants and beach bars are found. Here you can try practicing some water sports, like water skiing and wind surfing. The golden sand of Faliraki extends over 4 km and being perfectly combined with the blue waters of the Aegean sea, contributes to a relaxing and attractive scenery. For those who wish to be in a more quiet and less crowded environment, the bay of Kathara is just the right place for them. It is close to Faliraki Beach, near the small fishing harbour. The whole area is full of different kinds of accommodation.

Bad kind of nightlife in Faliraki
Faliraki beach was toooo large and pure sandy. We stayed in a hotel there and had views to the beach anytime. I could see that most time it was crowded, from early in the morning till almost midnight. Some beach bars stayed open all night long but I didn't like that kind of nightlife, as only drunken tourists usually stayed till that long. You could often hear crazy screams in the middle of the night. We stayed 10 days in Rhodes and spent only two whole days in Faliraki. The rest of the days we were making excursions around the island. I think people should take better care of this place, because it is turning into a bad place for families and prudent tourists.
