A small eatery that serves typical Greek dishes cooked with local produce is the Roko. The restaurant has a totally casual theme: paper napkins, paper tablecloth and all. Roka is on a back street in Oia and takes a bit of effort to locate, but actually, it is only a minute’s walk from the main walkway along the rim of the caldera.
Seating is on the charming balcony or indoors and the small patio on the backyard has a beautiful sea view. Some of the specialties include a variety of meze (Greek starters), salads, risottos and onion pies, fried cheese, thin-sliced eggplant with feta and tomato sauce and many others. Being a small joint, the service is pretty quick.
