Yria Studio in Paros, Kostos

Founded in 1977 by two young potters in the village of Kostos, the Yria Ceramics has become an important center in Paros for designing and producing fine handcrafted pottery intended for daily use.

The studio has over the years created an astounding variety of forms and shapes having both functional and aesthetic appeal, and most of their designs have borrowed heavily from pre-classical, Byzantine and folk models.

Besides dinnerware, the studio offers a wide range of large decorative platters, sconces, vases, and bowls of varying sizes and shapes. These are on display at the workshop and Yria Interiors located in the main square in the Lefkes Village. The Yria Interiors also produces home furnishings and handmade tiles used in island architecture and is also a platform for artists and craftsmen, both Greek and foreign, to express their talent.
