The Folktale Festival will take place on the island of Kea, from 12 to 20 July 2008 for the 6th year now, giving the chance to Greek and foreigner artists to present their work on the beautiful scenery of the island.
The program includes fairytale narrations, musical and conjectural events, painting exhibitions, puppet shows and shadow theater shows, book and traditional toys presentations, as well as various workshops for adults and children (narration, pottery, handicrafts etc).
All the events are centered on the festival's thematic concept, which changes annually and this year is Dragons/
More than 30 events are included in the program, while the entrance is free to the public.
The famous French narrator Bruno De La Salle will be honorary guest to the feast, also founder of the Centre de Litterature Orale (CLiO - Centre of Oral Literature) of France.
In charge of the festival's organization is the non-profiteering Center for the Study and Dissemination of Myths and Folktales, with the precious support of Kea Municipality.
